Training is essential for a successful installation. A farmer’s job is complex and requires not only technical knowledge but also economic and management skills.

The national system in France requires, therefore, that in exchange for economic and financial aid from the State, the future farmer must acquire professional agricultural qualifications which will enable him to start up his project in the best possible conditions. Candidates for installation grants must also take training courses.
