Installation route

The aim of the installation policy is to encourage the largest number of young candidates capable of taking responsibility for a farm within the context of a viable project.  
 
Two main grants are available: installation grant for Young Farmers (DJA), and loans to Young Farmers to finance the installation.
 
All candidates for these installation grants must follow what is known as the “installation route” which includes an economic approach to the planned installation, professional qualifications and monitoring of installation, with the following stages:

Acquiring professional capacity



Looking for a farm and accessing the property



Preparing for installation



Farming

Planning social cover

Choosing legal status

Financing the project

Anticipating the tax burden

Finalising the project



Installation route for candidates who do not benefit from installation grants compared to the route presented for candidates who do benefit from grants:
  • every stage concerns you except the ones specific to installation grants
  • you may also need to obtain an equivalence of your diplomas or validation of your professional experience in order to have access to other reduced interest rate loans for development of your farm. Think about the amount of time you will need to get this done and get ahead!
