Retrocession
What is a retrocession?

Safer retrocession is the sale by Safer, by means of a notary’s deed, of a rural property acquired by amicable means, or by pre-emption, under conditions validated by Government Commissioners and to a candidate validated by the Technical Committee and the Safer Board.

What is a retrocession by substitution?

You have signed a promise to purchase an agricultural property from Safer. The owner of this property has signed a promise to sell to Safer involving the said property.

Instead of signing both deeds, one with the owner to buy his property from him and the other with you to sell it on to you, Safer may perform a substitution: it may substitute for the purchase candidate and thus have the promise to sell transferred to it.

A single officially recorded deed is required to make this acquisition official. Substitution may be made in certain circumstances. For further information go to the web site www.safer.fr, contact us or contact Safer.
