Assistance from the PIDIL
Measures that are defined at national level

These measures involve on the one hand the seller and on the other the installation candidate, in accordance with the phases in an installation process:

<< identification of farms available for the installation of young people, used to identify in a given area, farms without successors that will be released in the near future, and thus anticipate their takeover.

<< encouragement to register early on the installation directory, for farmers without successors, at least 12 months prior to the provisional date of cessation of activity. The grant of 5 000 € is paid only after a young farmer has actually been installed.

<< financing of the audit of a farm to be taken over,to supply the young farmer with elements to take into consideration with regard to his project. The PIDIL allocates a grant of 1 500 € per diagnosis performed.

<< for a young person, taking of a “sponsor’s” training course lasting a maximum of one year on the farm that he wishes to take over. Depending on the case, the course may be approved as professional training. It enables a young person without a farming background to prepare himself to take over a farm on site.

<< aid with replacement of a young person who has to be absent from the farm to take a training course: once he is installed the young farmer will need to supplement his knowledge by taking short training courses. The PIDIL covers, up to a limit of 100 days, the cost of a replacement service at the farm, and allocates a grant of 60 € per day of replacement.

<< compensation to an organisation employing NS-EJ (New Service, Jobs for young people) in agriculture: NS-EJ employers wishing to set up may receive a grant in compensation for the young person’s professional training.

Measures that supplement existing mechanisms

The PIDIL aims to supplement existing mechanisms that encourage installation (action prior to departure, young farmers’ grants).

They can intervene in addition to transmission CTE designed specifically to work alongside the future seller who is looking for someone to take over to whom transmission can be made.

Another aim of the PIDIL is to bring together sources of national, regional or local finance in order to amplify the dynamic of the various actions in favour of installation from outside the family circle.

Where to apply
