Finalising the project /Authorisation to farm
Authorisation to farm

Before looking for land, you must make a request forauthorisation to farm to your county DDAF. This form can generally be downloaded from the web site of your DDAF.

Once completed, the file must be deposited or sent in two copiesto the DDAF for the place where the land is located or where your operational head office is located if you are planning to take over land in several counties.

Who should make the request?

If the land is to be farmed on an individual basis,it is the person who plans to take over the property.

If the land is to be farmed by acorporate entity, the request will be made by the company.

If aholding is being taken in a farm, the request must be made by the individual person or corporate entity that plans to own holdings in several farms.

If one of the members of a company does not have professional capacity, it is the company that will make the request. The same is true in terms of a reduction in the number of farmer partners or a change in the distribution of capital.
