Chambers of agriculture are professionally managed public institutions.
In each county and each region, a Chamber of Agriculture works in two ways:
it is the spokesman for agriculture and the rural world to public authorities, and plays an essential service role for farmers.

The DDAF


A State service under the Prefect’s authority, the County Division for Agriculture and Forestry (D.D.A.F.) carries out administrative, technical and financial work in various fields, particularly the agricultural and forestry economy, the environment and nature protection.

In the county the D.D.A.F. applies the policies decided by the Government, through several technical departments each responsible for a specific sector.


Centres for Rural Economy

Their task is to encourage the development and success of companies in the agricultural sector or those located in rural areas.

For 40 years, in every county, Centres for Rural Economy, created at the initiative of Professional Agricultural Organisations and the Public Authorities, have been working for the development of Agriculture and the Rural Environment.

In every county, Centres for Rural Economy have the task of helping farmers in the management of their enterprises.

CFE | Company formalities centres

CFE, Company Formalities Centres, centralise all formalities linked to the creation of a company and pass on documents to the various administrative bodies concerned.

In the agricultural field, these are most often Chambers of Agriculture.


The Mutualité Sociale Agricole (MSA) – Agricultural Social Mutual Fund


The MSA provides social cover for farmers and their families.

The MSA will be your sole interlocutor for all your concerns or questions relating to your social protection and that of your family. It pay your family allowances, health and retirement benefits and collects in social contributions.
